Mark Schmaedeke

Mark SchmaedekeMark Schmaedeke is a husband, father of four, Roseville Firefighter and much loved friend who has redeveloped Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer that has now moved into his lungs. In November of 2003, Mark was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and had a long fight that nearly resulted in remission. Unfortunately just months after he had begun to feel well again he and his family were greatly disappointed when they discovered the cancer has redeveloped. Through his fight with Lymphoma, members of the Roseville Fire Department helped to care for Mark and his family, delivering home cooked meals every week, shoveling snow, mowing grass and cleaning gutters. Now, that this cancer is more difficult to treat, extensive chemotherapy treatments and stem cell transplants are sometimes necessary.

Mark SchmaedekeUnfortunately, the costs incurred with this illness are astronomical, as well as many additional illness related expenses. The Roseville Firefighters are determined to see our brother firefighter, and friend, survive. Please join the Roseville Firefighters to help Mark and his family, win his battle with cancer.

Because of the efforts of the KFAN and staff, they were able to raise over $75,000 for the Schmaedeke family.
