Mark Schmaedeke
Mark Schmaedeke is a husband, father of four, Roseville Firefighter and much loved friend who has redeveloped Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer that has now moved into his lungs. In November of 2003, Mark was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and had a long fight that nearly resulted in remission. Unfortunately just months after he had begun to feel well again he and his family were greatly disappointed when they discovered the cancer has redeveloped. Through his fight with Lymphoma, members of the Roseville Fire Department helped to care for Mark and his family, delivering home cooked meals every week, shoveling snow, mowing grass and cleaning gutters. Now, that this cancer is more difficult to treat, extensive chemotherapy treatments and stem cell transplants are sometimes necessary.
