Age 83 of NE Minneapolis Passed away peacefully Nov. 26, 2015 surrounded by loved ones at home. Preceded in death by parents, Doris and Kenneth Horn. Survived by wife of 57 years, JoAnne; sister, Phyllis Askay; children, John (Bridget) Horn, Dan (Susan) Horn and Carolyn Bauman; grandchildren, Rob Bauman, Alexa Horn, Steve Horn, Lauren Bauman and TJ Horn. James graduated from Edison High School and Augsburg College. He served 4 years in the US Navy, taught math and coached football and basketball for 34 years in the Mounds View School District. He was a lover of life and giver of love.. Private interment Hillside Cemetery. Memorials to Mounds View Athletic Dept., or donor's choice.
