Age 83 of NE Minneapolis Passed away peacefully Nov. 26, 2015 surrounded by loved ones at home. Preceded in death by parents, Doris and Kenneth Horn. Survived by wife of 57 years, JoAnne; sister, Phyllis Askay; children, John (Bridget) Horn, Dan (Susan) Horn and Carolyn Bauman; grandchildren, Rob Bauman, Alexa Horn, Steve Horn, Lauren Bauman and TJ Horn. James graduated from Edison High School and Augsburg College. He served 4 years in the US Navy, taught math and coached football and basketball for 34 years in the Mounds View School District. He was a lover of life and giver of love. A Time of Remembrance will occur at 12 noon Thursday, Dec. 3rd with a gathering beginning at 11:00 AM at HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM-PURCELL FUNERAL HOME, 515 Hwy 96 W., at Mackubin, Shoreview, luncheon to follow service. Private interment Hillside Cemetery. Memorials to Mounds View Athletic Dept., or donor's choice.

Mark D. Salo, 55 of Cloquet, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at home, after his battle with cancer.

He was born Jan. 7, 1960 in St. Paul, to Marlen and Arnelda (Mattson) Salo.

Mark grew up in Shoreview, Minn., and graduated from Moundsview High School. He spent several years working as a laborer. Mark spent many years on the west coast and moved back to Minnesota in 2008 to be with family. His hobbies included crossword puzzles, bike riding, listening to music, watching sports, cooking, and hanging with friends and family.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Arnelda; and one sister, Stacy Al-Awamie.

He is survived by his father, Marlen Salo; brother, Michael Salo; one sister, Lori Salo; one niece and five nephews.

Those wishing to honor Mark, the family request you to pay kindness forward to someone in need.

51 of Anthem, suddenly passed away on July 14, 2010.  Beloved husband and father.  Survived by his wife Jane of 30 years, his children Jeff, Heather and Melissa, his parents Lee and Bernice Albjerg, his siblings Les (Becky) Albjerg and Wes Albjerg.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Albjerg.  Also survived by his sister in law, Nancy (Mike) Fieldma, mother and father in law Betty and Gerald Landsberger, brother in law Paul (P.J.) Landsberger and Mark Landsberger.  Private services will be held on July 21, 2010.  Kurt, we will miss you terribly!...until we meet again.
